The author, Kimm Barnes, crafted both the story and illustrations in this beautiful landscape children’s book printing project. Typically, one person authors the book and another creates the illustrations, but Kimm did a fantastic job with both aspects of the book.

Landscape Children’s Book Printing: The Big Search

The delightful story is premised on this plot: Carl missed his dad. Everyone in Otter Core Village worried about the boy. One day, Captain Jack said, “I have friends that can help.” Soon, five adventurers arrived at Carl’s door and said, “Let’s go search for your dad.” From there the adventure begins! The book is recommended for young readers 3 to 7 years old.

Client Review of Landscape Children’s Book Printing:

Why did you choose Publishing Xpress?

I was going to use another printer, mainly because they had a program to place my book with online book sellers like Amazon. They also could fulfill orders with on demand printing. I downloaded an Indesign template, 8.5×11: landscape orientation, to layout my book. When I was ready to print, their rep told me they no longer were printing 8.5×11: landscape orientation.

With that information, I searched the internet looking for a printer. I liked the Publishing Xpress easy to use interface. Pricing was good. I decided I could handle my own book placement.

How was your experience with Publishing Xpress?

Customer service was excellent. Jackie was very helpful getting me through the proofing process. She caught a few errors that I missed.

How do you feel about the quality and timeliness of your project?

The final print quality was very good. The timetable for printing and delivery was spot on.

Is there anything you wish had been different?

First, I probably would have chosen a matte paper for printing. The softbound children’s books in my library are printed on matte paper. I never paid much attention to this fact.

Also, I might want a heavier paper stock. Since my book was only 32 pages, a heavier stock may have made the book look a bit more substantial.
