I’m sure we’ve all seen plenty of comic books in our time, but this is truly a special print. Publishing Xpress recently completed a color comic book printing project called Blades of Hope. This comic book is a celebration of the inner strength of women expressed through martial arts.

Women and girls from around the world, trained in martial arts, join forces to solve a worldwide disaster and instill hope using their intelligence, physical strength, and good character. All the women illustrated in the comic are modestly displayed, no provocative imagery, yet very attractive.

Color Comic Book Printing for Blades of Hope

Publishing Xpress really liked this color comic book printing project for many reasons. It is unique in its specs because the authors opted for sturdier paper, though they went with the ideal comic book binding option — saddle stitch. 24 saddle-stitched pages of high-resolution earth toned artwork on 80# gloss text and 100# gloss cover.

Normally, color comic book printing projects are printed on much lighter paper with a self cover, but because this graphic novel is unique in itself, the paper stocks really added that extra something special; Basically that high quality feel to go with the high quality content. Saddle-stitch is ideal color comic book binding due to its book flattening ability for easy reads and full wide spread visual of graphics.
