Interested in children’s book printing online? Let’s talk children’s books for just a minute…many people like to publish children’s books in a large size like 8.5 x 11. More than likely, however, most self-publishing children book authors are working with smaller budgets, and Publishing Xpress likes to help you save with our competitive pricing on children’s book printing online. From a professional and money conserving point of view, less is more. A smaller sized book can mean substantially lower prices for you on children’s book printing online.

This is why Publishing Xpress has chosen “Buddy Finds a Home,” created by Mountain Dog Books, as our spotlight of the week.

Specs for this Children’s Book Printing Online Project

  • 6×9
  • 28 pages + Cover
  • Perfect Bound
  • 80# Matte Text for the inside pages
  • 100# Gloss Cover

6×9 is not an unusual size, however, it is unique for a children’s book. This particular book was designed with one page of text side-by-side with a full page of color illustration. The text is sized in a large bold font in black against a white background.

This makes for clear, less eye straining reading. The colors on the illustrated pages are soft, and images are drawn out very well. The soft pastel-like colors are very pleasing and welcoming to the eye. All text was placed well away from the margins and centered, so it was very simple for Publishing Xpress to cut and bind without issues of losing text or images within the spine.

Overall, the specs of this children’s book printing online project alongside the design made the book easy to print and bind. The final product is something that can be easily held and read to children or a child can read on his/her own.
